Getting behind!

I sometimes wonder how time gets so far away from me! I mean, really! I get up early every morning to get the kids off to school, how can I not have enough time in my day to do what I need to? I think that my problem is I need to learn how to organize my time. If my computer is on I spend WAY too much time on it. Some of that time is being productive, but a lot of it is just wasting time. If I happen to turn on the t.v. I spend WAY to much time on that and that is after cutting out a million shows! I know that there is a middle ground here. I just need to find it.

So, we have done a million things (okay, not a million) since I last posted. We went to see the opening air show for the Blue Angels. It was wonderful! Thanks to my friend Yvette we got the best seats in the house (for free...if you don't count me having to clean up an inch of poop water and other various things all over her bathroom on that same morning! lol). I love the Blue Angels. They are amazing. Before they flew they had a bunch of other air show items. One of which was the army's 'Black something or other'. I forget their name. Anyway, their lead jumper was retiring and he had over 10,000 jumps! wow! As they came down he flew the U.S. flag and they played "Proud To Be An American" and I bawled. My kids wanted to know why I was always crying! haha They also had a plane fly (an F-1 I think) by that you could not hear until it had past. They said that this plane puts fear into the hearts of people that we are at war with. I totally understood! It scared me to death and I was just watching a show. I thought about people in their homes at night and having no idea it was coming and then hearing it and know you are in big trouble. Poor people....I cried at that too. We walked in to the type of plane that James used to jump out of and to to be in the type of helicopter that he rode in. That was very cool. The show was amazing and I loved all 4 hours that we were there. I could have stayed a lot longer.

I also had to speak in our Stake Conference. This was a first for me. Who knows, it may have been so bad it will be the last one as well! haha I spoke in the Saturday session, and we have a lot less people come to that one. The thing is, I don't really mind if there are a lot of people or not. Once I get talking I don't really notice the amount of people. I had to speak on 'spiritual procrastination'. This was a perfect talk for me seeing as how I have been doing that lately. It helped me to get my booty in line...some what! lol My poor husband got home from his midnight shift and stayed up all day to take care of the kids to make sure I was totally prepared and then came to listen. He was so funny. He pretty much stayed awake (except for one little snoozing episode) but sometimes his eyes looked really glazed over! At least he stayed awake and alert for my talk....seeing as how I spoke first it was pretty easy for him!

Instant Love

This is Kearney with my uncle Kevin. She has such a great love for him! She loves to sit on his lap, kiss his cheek (and then say EWWWW!!!), make him laugh and sit on his motorcycle. It was wonderful the first time she saw him that she was not a little baby. This picture is at that time. It was Thanksgiving, 2006. She sat on his lap almost the whole time, and then on Christmas that same year she did the same thing. She was thrilled when he and Becky came to visit us last year and he is so great with her. I love to listen to his laugh as he plays with her. The love of family is such a wonderful thing!

No Doubt

I was getting ready for pre-school at my house this morning when I received a phone call from Jayci. She was at an appointment and no where near a computer and needed my help. No Doubt has gotten back together and they are coming to Salt Lake. The tickets go on sale tomorrow (Saturday) but a radio station was going to be selling some a day early. You had to have the password in order to purchase the said tickets. Jayci wanted to know if I would go on and buy them for her. Well, after being kicked out of the system for taking too long (I can be computer challenged at times), we finally got her tickets. Third row floor!!!!!! Yeah for Jayci!!!! Even better is that she said I can come with her if I can fly in. So, I think I am going to use the Christmas present that Katie gave me (money towards a plane ticket with Jet Blue) and fly in to go see No Doubt with my lovely sister!!!!! Yeah!!!!! She was so excited about the tickets that she got me so excited I was bouncing around the house!! Now all I have to do is go and learn all of their music!! Well, I do know at least the songs from one CD, so I am down one! hahaha
