I want my daddy!!!!!!

"I want my daddy!" This has become a daily mantra for Kearney and Ireland. Nice for James...not so nice for the twins or those who have to listen to the sadness in their voices! Poor little things are missing their dad so much they want to leave all of us (and the wonderful weather) to go back to the HORRIBLE heat of El Centro to see daddy!

After we got here, to try and help another child obey we(me in person, James by phone) used the threat of being sent back home by a certain date (Friday) if the said child did not start obeying....(don't judge! Sometimes you do what you have to do to help children mind!) When I told James how the girls were feeling and what they were saying his first response was to say "Don't threaten to send them home if they don't mind!". Haha!!! Now, before you think that Parker and Kylee are not wanting to see their dad, think again. The difference is that Parker has to help his grandpa work around the yard (I am sure that he is totally helping to speed up the process...what 7 year old doesn't make things easier?!) and Kylee has her cousins(Abby and Katie) and other children to play with (plus she likes that it is not hot!).

It got me thinking about when James ends up getting the job he wants (ICE Agent....2 years away!). He will have to go to training for 5 months! Yes, 5 months!!!!!! What are we going to do? My suggestion is to buy new shoes! Lots and lots of shoes! We love and miss your James! Can't wait until August 9th!

So there are a couple of memories that I REALLY want to put on here, but I think they might be better kept between us...hee hee hee. So I'm going with this one:

I remember when you were pregnant, Josh and I would be hanging out, and you would call (or sometimes I think we called you) and request McDonalds or Arby's. One time Josh didn't tell me it was for you (I thought it was for him) so I started snacking on the French Fries...then I was informed they were for you. Sorry! ha ha.
One More:
When Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out, Josh and I both won free copies of the book, and we called you and you were in line just about to run your credit card to pay for it, and the cell phone cut out a couple of times, but we were finally able to tell you not to pay for it. I also IMMEDIATELY started reading it in the car (and Josh was perturbed) and I think you may have finished reading it before me anyway...

Buying new shoes will cure anything, but you have to make sure you take family along(hint hint) to share in the joy!
