COLD!!!!
I am in Salt Lake. I come up each year (starting last year) for our annual girls shopping day (started before I was even old enough to go). Now, need I remind you that I live where it is warm year round.....well, warm in the winter and kill yourself hot in the summer....and I don't really own warm clothing. In fact, I only have one pair of long pants and these were purchased a few days before I flew in to Salt Lake. I flew in on Friday and was on a putty little plane that required me to walk out on the the pavement and continue walking in the FREEZING COLD for a bit before I entered the relative warmth of the airport. I was wearing flip flops and capri jeans. I did have on a sweatshirt (that I bought in the San Diego airport), but it did not help out at all! I was freezing! It was 20 degrees! The temps have not gotten any better. As I type it is 17 degrees outside (and it is daytime!)!!!! That is not a natural temperature! I am cold! Now, I have been having a wonderful time. We had a great day shopping yesterday, slid off the side of the road, froze, saw snow, shivered under blankets, sat in front of space heaters....you know, a typical winter Utah visit. lol I now understand the snowbirds that go south for the winter. I am not sure which is worse, Utah winter or El Centro summer. It is a toss-up.

I didn't really buy very much(I pretty much do my shopping in El Centro), so I am hoping that it will all fit in my suitcase. :) I just come up for the company! lol
I have never been in El Centro in the summer but....I do NOT like the cold so I'm voting it's worse being in Utah in the winter. It can't just snow or be cold, it has to snow, be freezing cold and wind blowing at the same time. YUCK!
I think you brought it with you because we were having a wonderful mild season and then all of a sudden WHAM!!! HERE IT IS, COLD!!! Even my Utah born and raised body has not had a chance to adjust to the cold and I am freezing!
Karen, everything you said about the weather there was right on! I froze!!!! However, the heat here is terrible! Like nothing you can even imagine until you have lived in your oven! lol
Penny, I am not happy that the weather changed for me! The snow was so bad when I left that some flights were canceled and a bunch delayed (mine). It was sooooooo cold! I told my mom I wasn't sure if the weather was saying 'here is a nice storm to say thanks for coming' or if it was saying 'Here is a storm, stay away!'. haha
COME OVER!!! I missed you last year...I'm not missing you this year!! Call me! My phone is on my FB info!! And yes, it's cold enough to make your eyelashes fall off! Grrrrrrrr
Hiroko, I am already home! I was only there for a few days and left Tuesday morning. :( I would have loved to see you. I will be back up next summer. We will have to get together for sure!
