Stupid California!
Can I just say that I HATE California?! Jeez! James and I received two certified letters (one for each kid) from the Imperial County District Attorney's Office telling us that because our children 'fail to regularly attend school as required by law' we are being placed on notice that we can be filed with criminal charges. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!! My kids missed three days of school! Is there not anything more important that they need to take care of? Gangs, the fires that keep getting started out by our cars, people smuggling in drugs and illegals? I mean really! Get a stinking grip! All of the great things about California are totally outweighed by the stupid, craziness that goes on here! Close the schools for a whole week because someone might be sick, but don't go out of town for three days (not to mention that I did get their homework). AHHHH!!!!!!! I really do not like California!

Well you could hurry and move back here and that would solve it.
But what is more important than teaching our future leaders? They need to educate them so California can get out of debt. If you show them it is okay to slack off when you are young, you are telling them they don't need to do what's right when they are older. You guys should be charged and even taken to jail you law breakers.
It's because of stupid parents in California that they have had to have this law! But I am totally with you that if you take the time to make sure that they get their assignments they should be allowed to leave school. What happens if they get sick and have to be hospitalized for a week or more, will you have to go to jail because your child is deathly ill? Stupid people!
Karen, we are so working on it! It will take at least another year.

Penny, we do have stupid parents. We keep defeating a law that protects children...we are nuts! ( i am not really lumping myself in the we)If your kids were hospitalized you would have to have a note from the doctor and then it would be excused.
I know a couple of doctors.
Josh, if I ever need a note I will call you for their numbers! lol Maybe you should just get me a couple of them now, minus the date and I will fill that in when needed!
