Last week I decided to show my kids that I could still do a handstand. Now, let me start off by letting you all know that I can do the BEST handstands in the swimming pool! I can get completely straight, my legs are together and my toes pointed. I look good! So, I used to be able to do them and I was sure that I still could. James quickly ran to get the camera (rude!) and the kids started bouncing all over the room. I was slightly scared (Okay, a lot) that when I landed on my hands my arms would give out and I would land on my head, so it took me a few minutes of trying and standing still to get myself courageous enough to do it. Well, as you can tell by the above picture I got there. I started up against the door and did pretty well, so I decided to go solo......big mistake! The first one (yes there was more than one!) I did okay and stay up for a few seconds. The second one was my down fall....literally! I could feel myself started to go over and I knew, seeing as how I have had a few back problems, that my back would not do a bridge and that was the way that I was going over. So, I decided to fling myself to the side. I was quite successful with this move (my kids were in hysterics) but I completely wrenched my back. I am not really quite sure what I did to it. James said that I started saying 'Oh, my back, my back!'. I am now walking around bent over like a question mark. James said that I look like a person in their 70's. (sorry grandma and grandpa! You walk better than that!) So, I have come to realized (belatedly!) that I am now really that old. I was able to get up, but the resulting pain was sooooo not worth it! I can't do what I used to do, no matter what I can do in the pool!

G-r-a-v-i-t-y. It sucks. You're hilarious by the way. Love the picture (and when I first read the title- I thought it said, "Am I Really That Cold". lol) Merry Christmas!
Well, I could never do a handstand. Even if my life depended on it! :) Your story made me remember you telling me how you would jump off your roof into your pool. Good times.
I didnt know you used to jump off the roof. I thought I was the only one awesome enough to do that. Yes, you are very old. Almost knocking on the door, deaths door that is.
well, I have a couple of comments:
1. what the devil were you thinking?
2. how was christmas with the back issues? did you go to the doctor and get something to make it a bit more bearable?
3. when will you post the REST of the fotos?
4. did you guys have a good christmas? did the kids love what santa brought them?
well, those were more like questions than comments, but you get the idea! Love you!
