In July/August I was in Salt Lake for a visit. Many times on that trip I stopped by a shoe store (there were several) and bought some shoes. I needed a pair of green ones to match a new outfit I bought. I found the perfect pair at a store in Bountiful. Unfortunately they did not have my size, but they did have a 1/2 size smaller. I love shoes enough to wear shoes too small if it is necessary. It was, so I purchased the said shoes. They also had several other colors in the same style of shoe. One that I loved was orange. I kept debating about whether or not I should buy them. I finally decided against it. Mostly because I had already bought 6 other pair already and I was slightly concerned about what James' reaction would be when he saw all of the boxes. The other reason that I did not buy them was that I would then have to go out and buy an outfit to match the orange shoes. I got to my mom's house and wished that I had bought the shoes. Well, after a few weeks of expressing vocally that I wanted the shoes, my brother and sister ended up buying them for me for my birthday. Unfortunately they thought I wore a 1/2 size bigger than I did. So, Katie very sweetly returned them (I went home the day after I got them) and they were mailed to me last week. So, today I wore these gorgeous orange shoes to church. Here is where the story gets funny. I am known in the ward for liking and buying shoes. This lady came up to me (she will remain nameless) and said 'Those are interesting shoes........you always seem to have different shoes.....I bet there are not very many people who can say that they know someone who would go out and buy orange pointy shoes but I can say that I do.....You definitely are your own person......'. I was not really sure how to reply to that. I told James it was hard to say thank-you because it was not really a compliment! However, I don't buy shoes based on what I think other people will like. I love them! James says that I remind him of the wicked witch of the east! I think that means that they are just magical! So, I have a big thanks to give out to Katie and Josh. I LOVE my shoes and I know that I look dang good in them! And to the statement that they were interesting, shoes should be interesting and I love it when my shoes cause people to talk!

I love you and your shoes! I remember a day in the nursery when you were helping me and you had these purple ones, they were grand!
I'm seriously in love with these shoes! I'm sure you look amazing in them. :)
Katie, do not tell anyone in El Centro this story! :) Thanks on the shoe front. I love those shoes too! :) We miss you! Hope to see you when you come home for Christmas!
Anne, thanks! I really think that a good pair of shoes can make anyone look good! lol You should check out the store Forever 21 in Bountiful by Shopko and Barnes and Noble. Cheap prices, sometimes hurt, but sooooo cute!
Well I think they are pretty cool. But, my feet hurt just looking at how high the heels are and the points make my toes cringe. I am jealous, I love shoes too but now I have to stick to the flat variety to save myself.
People are crazy--and some just have NO tact. All that matters is that you like them.
My head says I could wear those...but, by feet say "NO..NO..NO" lol
I think they are goofy looking. Just don't kick anybody or else you will puncture them. Could be bad for everybody.
