You teach and nurture your children in faith. Fortunate indeed is the woman who is married to a good man, who is loved by him, and who in turn loves him; a man who loves his children, provides for them, teaches them, guides them, rears and protects them as they walk the stormy course from babyhood to adulthood. Fire!!!!!!
I was driving home from picking up Parker and Kylee from school. I was driving down my street when I saw smoke coming up from behind the fence of our parking lot. I thought 'Oh, they must be doing a controlled burn'....until I realized it was a not a farm and there would not be a 'controlled burn' over there. I decided to pull up farther than the driveway to see what it was. FLAMES!!!! That is what it was!! I flew into the parking lot and ran to the house yelling 'James, there is a fire!'. He moved so fast! (It is good to know that he can if he needs to) I grabbed three pitchers of water and James grabbed a shovel and we ran outside. I saw a lady that said that someone had been in a car in the street and said that they called the fire department. We started trying to put the fire out, and eventually got it out. In all of this time the fire department never came. Personally, I think the people in the car started it and never called them. If I had been 5 minutes later it would have been too late. The fence would have caught fire and all of those cars along side of it (mine being one of them!). Very scary!!!! We came back inside and I said to James 'It stinks in here' and he promptly informed me that it was us that stunk! It was quite frightening and I am very glad that James does not do this for a living! (like he has a safe job! lol)

Yikes! Thank goodness you acted fast and got it taken care of. You should be on the volunteer fire squad.
Goof job woman. It is one of my dream jobs to be a firefighter but katie said no way jose. They do tell us not to attempt to fight a fire that is bigger than a trash can but I think that is a bunch of crap. Way to go and now I am envious of you.
so...knowing that you're not one to be prone to hyperbole, exactly how big was this inferno? :)
Okay, I never said it was an inferno, but I just asked James (who is not prone to exagerating) and he said it burned 12 to 15 square feet. So, there you go! The flames were 4 feet high (again, from James).
Julie, never, never, never! I smelled terrible! lol
Josh, this is not the only reason you should be envious of me! lol
Way to go Temaire! That's a big fire to put out!! Glad you are all safe!
Josh--I never called you jose. Also, you sound like Dwight Shrute.
Fact: I am the best.
ps. It is your birthday.
Hey there, I am so proud of you Hard working woman on a mission!!! I am glad all of you are safe!
